370 Student Co-Curricular Activities






The School District of Baraboo encourages and supports co-curricular programs that will enhance academic programs, provide for student service and leadership, develop physical and artistic skills, and provide opportunities for group activities.


The District will stress opportunities for participation through the offering of a wide variety of co-curricular activities.  However, the participation in certain activities may be restricted by a selection process based on individual skills or performance (including, but  not limited to: drama activities, sports teams, etc.) and be governed by guidelines established by the Board of Education and administration.


All students participating in interscholastic athletics as representatives of the School District of Baraboo, shall receive a copy of the code of conduct and shall sign a statement indicating that he/she understands the code and its conditions.  The Activities Director or designee shall be responsible for the enforcement of the provisions of the student code of conduct.


The District shall not discriminate in admission to or participation in, rules of behavior for or disciplinary action in any co-curricular program or activity or facilities usage because of the person’s sex, race, national origin, religion, color, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability or handicap.


Discrimination complaints shall be processed in accordance with established complaint procedures.
