Volunteers play an integral role in enhancing the education of students in the Baraboo School District, and we appreciate the valuable services they provide. Because the safety and well-being of students, staff, and volunteers is of primary importance, the district conducts yearly criminal background checks on all volunteers. Therefore, individuals wishing to volunteer this school year must complete the "Volunteer Background Check Authorization," even if they were approved as volunteers in a prior year. Furthermore, the "Out-of-State Background Check Form" must be completed by individuals who (1) have lived, worked, or studied out-of-state in the past seven years; (2) have ever been convicted of a crime in any other state or country; or (3) have a pending charge against them in any other state or country.
