Northwest Evaluation Association:  The Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping all children learn. NWEA provides research-based assessments, professional training, and consulting services to improve teaching and learning. There are approximately 100 districts in Wisconsin utilizing this tool – 2200 districts nation-wide.  20 states are piloting this as their state-wide assessment for NCLB.

These assessments determine instructional levels of students and measure academic growth from year to year.  They are unique in the tests adapt to be appropriate for each child’s level of learning.  As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and the information is available immediately for classroom teachers to use to make decisions about instruction for each child.

READ 180 is an intensive reading intervention program that meets the needs of students whose reading achievement is below proficient level.  The program directly addresses the individual needs through adaptive and instructional software, high-interest literature, and direct instruction in reading, writing and vocabulary skills. The program is research-based and utilizes data for instructional decision-making.

Click on Performance Report Card which will take you to WINSS site (Wisconsin’s Information Network for Successful Schools).  It will automatically default to the Data Analysis (test scores and more).  You can manipulate which schools, grades, sub-groups, etc. to view.  You can also compare individual schools or districts to comparable schools and districts, to state data, or comparing subgroups within our district.
