Welcome Letter from the Principal

Greetings!  The School District of Baraboo is dedicated to being the best educational community by supporting the maximum growth of each student, enabling each to succeed in and contribute positively to a continuously evolving world.  The Baraboo High School Learning Community believes that educational achievement is a collaborative process, that each student can learn and has the right to reach his/her full potential, that every student is entitled to an education that is responsive to his/her unique needs, and that the safety of all members of the learning community is essential.

Baraboo High School is a North Central Accredited High School with a tradition for excellence.  Students choose from a broad range of curricular and co-curricular offerings in a seven-period day.  We also have a daily homeroom that provides opportunities for individualized learning, including remediation and extension.  Additional benefits of our homeroom include weekly monitoring of academic progress, silent reading, and study time.  Advanced Placement (AP) and American College Test (ACT) scores are competitive, as are the test results on the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examination (WKCE).

As Thunderbirds, your child will be connected and have relationships with the students, parents, faculty, and administration of Baraboo High School.  Those of you who may be considering have your son or daughter join our Baraboo High School Learning Community may want to schedule a visit.  I would be happy to discuss what we have to offer and why Baraboo High School is the best choice for your child's education.
