Engage, Challenge, and Inspire
Every student, Every day, in Every way

I am proud to serve as the principal of Jack Young Middle School and to be part of the Baraboo community. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, I am entering my 20th year in education and continue to feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside students, families, and educators each day.
I am passionate about helping every student find success - not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and personally. Middle school is an important time of growth and discovery, and I believe our responsibility extends beyond preparing students for their next grade level. We are helping young people develop the skills, confidence, relationships, and sense of responsibility they will carry with them long after they leave JYMS.
Before moving into school leadership, athletics was also a significant part of my educational journey. I coached track and field for 16 years, an experience that reinforced my belief in the importance of relationships, perseverance, teamwork, and helping young people recognize what they are capable of accomplishing.
Outside of school, I am fortunate to share life with my wife and two stepdaughters.
Most importantly, I want our students and families to know that I am here to help. Whether you have a question, a concern, an idea, or simply want to connect, please never hesitate to reach out. Strong schools are built through strong partnerships, and I look forward to working together to make Jack Young Middle School a place where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.
