The Baraboo Rotary Club is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating outstanding educators who make a significant impact in the School District of Baraboo. Our Educator of the Month program aims to honor exceptional educators, encourage excellence in education, and foster a strong connection between the community and local schools.

Objective: To recognize and reward an exceptional educator each month for their dedication, innovation, and positive influence on students. One educator will be recognized from the School District of Baraboo each month.

Eligibility: All staff members in the School District of Baraboo are eligible for the Educator of the Month program.

Nomination Window: Nominations are open from the 1st to the 15th of each month. Submissions received after the 15th will be considered for the following month.

How to Nominate?

Nomination Form: The Google Form is linked here

Required Information: Nominators must provide the educator's name, school, grade level, and a detailed explanation of why they believe this educator deserves recognition. Personal anecdotes, specific examples of the educator’s impact, and contributions to the school community are encouraged.

What is the selection process?

A committee composed of Rotary Club members, school administrators, and community representatives will review nominations. Staff Members will be evaluated based on their dedication, innovation, student engagement, and positive impact on the school community.

Announcement: The selected Educator of the Month will be announced on the third Tuesday of each month via the School District of Baraboo website and social media channels

What does the Educator Receive?

Certificate of Excellence: The honored educator will receive a Certificate of Excellence from the Baraboo Rotary Club.

Public Recognition: A special presentation will be made at a Rotary Club meeting, with the educator's nominator invited to attend. The educator will also receive lunch, $100, and various gift certificates as a token of appreciation.

Staff Members, students, and parents can send feedback to communications@barabooschools.net to help continually improve the program.

We highly encourage community members to attend the recognition events and participate in nominating outstanding educators.
